Week 1 Assignment - Part 4

The Pre-K guidlines help lay the foundation for future learning because this is the exploration stage. Students are learning the terminology and how to use basic functions such as the mouse, how to insert a CD and interacting media. Just like in any other subject if the foundation is missing there are going to be many gaps to close in future learning. If this isn't done, then students are not prepared for the world beyond the school walls. Spiraling information is the best way to ensure learning, in my personal opinion. As a 4th grade teacher, I see many students not using the keyboard correctly. Therefore, it takes them a greater amount of time to do any given assignment. Through the lower grades, this is something that is continually worked on and given multiple grades to achieve mastery.
